South African National Championships & SA Cup Downhill – Cascades MTB Park, Pietermaritzburg | 18–20 April 2025
KZN Gravity is proud to host the 2025 South African Downhill National Championships and SA Cup Series Leg #2 at the legendary Cascades MTB Park over the Easter Weekend! This 3-day gravity-fueled event will see South Africa’s top riders alongside local rippers tackling the fast, technical tracks of Cascades.

The schedule includes Official Practice on Friday (18 April), followed by the SA Cup/KZN + Gauteng Provincial Champs for riders aged 8+ on Saturday (19 April), and the SA Champs Main Event for riders aged 13+ on Sunday (20 April). Combo entries are available for riders 13+ wanting to race both days. Entries include shuttle access and are available now at www.easyreg.co.za. All riders must have a valid Cycling South Africa (CSA) membership and license according to their age group.

Practice outside of official hours is allowed, and we kindly ask for a R50 per rider donation to support trail maintenance—Zapper or banking details available on request. The event relies heavily on volunteers, and we are calling on the community to assist with shuttling; fuel will be compensated. Let’s come together to make this a memorable weekend of speed, skill, and South African downhill spirit!
